On January 18th 2022, by special request from participants of PALZ we are brightening dark January, with magic provided by the well known Gareth Jenkins.

Gareth has been a magical entertainer for over 50 years as well as a dental  surgeon for 38  years (concurrently !).   He is equally at home entertaining adults as well as younger viewers.  His magic has taken him to many countries including   Norway, Korea, Argentina, USA, Bulgaria, The Baltic States, Ecuador, Ireland and other European countries. His special  brand of comedy magic can be enjoyed by all.

The meeting starts at the Conference centre (on the site of the Royal Shrewsbury hospital ) at 10am though usually people arrive for coffee from about 9.40am.

“Dragons and Demons“ – Ben Waddhams

Ben Waddhams, an extremely talented local wildlife artist, is giving a talk entitled:- “Dragons and Demons“, a journey through Mexico, Guatemala and Belize – a history of cult
and sacrifice and stunning wildlife and scenery. We have asked Ben to bring some examples of his paintings

The talk is entitled ‘ Meanderings in the Middle East ‘and is by Chris Konstan who spent 20 years working for HSBC in the Middle East, resident in Dubai and then Riyadh. His talk is based upon his extensive travels in many of the countries of the Middle East, exploring their cultures.
