Our attendees at our meeting in May were enthralled from beginning to end by Jonathan Walton who had joined us to give a talk and slideshow about his life and work as a Glaciologist, Surveyor and General Assistant for the British Antarctic Society. Jonathan first visited the Antarctic in 1973 and did not return until 1976! He has continued to visit throughout his life and has been awarded the Polar Medal for his Antarctic work.
His passion and dedication was evident in all the wonderful stories he regaled us with and we could have all continued listening to many more!
